Newnan Shakespeare in the Park is returning to Greenville Street Park to present “Twelfth Night.”
Three free, family-friendly performances will be Friday, Sept. 2, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 4 at 2 p.m. A talkback with the director and cast will be held immediately following the matinee on Sunday.
Newnan Shakes is a company of local and guest actors, designers and technical artists whose goal is to bring professional, quality theater to the West Georgia region. Newnan Shakes is a locally formed nonprofit that debuted with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in 2018 and “Romeo and Juliet” in 2019.
“We could not be more thankful for the community’s support, and we are thrilled to bring this lively show to Newnan’s beautiful downtown this summer after being virtual for the past two years,” said Madeline Sain, co-founder of Newnan Shakespeare in the Park.
“Twelfth Night” is being produced in partnership with its presenting sponsor, the Newnan Cultural Arts Commission, and sponsors Southern Arc Dance Company and Newnan First United Methodist Church.
