Prep Football: Tennie, Smith lead Coweta All-Stars

From Staff Reports Newnan's Rodney Tennie and East Coweta's Spencer Smith led the Central All-Stars to a 10-0 victory over the North All-Stars in the D.L. Scott Coalition Bowl Championships at the Georgia Dome on Saturday. Tennie had a pair of interceptions in the contest and was named the team's Defensive Most Valuable Player. Smith had three punts of over 50 yards and was named the squad's MVP for the game.
The only touchdown in the contest came when Northgate's Josh Harrison connected with Newnan's Traon Moss for a score. A recap and photos will appear in the Wednesday print and web editions of The Newnan Times-Herald.
