Lady Vikings 10th at Battle of Atlanta

The Northgate girls cross country team finished 10th Saturday morning in the Saucony Battle of Atlanta meet at Nash Farms in Hampton, while the boys finished 21st.

Northgate’s girls squad turned in its top-10 performance competing in a field of 31 teams.

Senior Caitlin Bellora had the best finish for the Lady Vikings, running across the finish line with the 22nd fast time, 21:39. Junior Taylor Lee finished in 45th place (22:40), Elise Glorvigen was 57th (23:04), Cathleen Hoffman 79th (23:47), Erica Lee was 102nd (24:35), Shelby Watson was 132 (25:20) and Hannah Skiotis was 170 (27:06).

In the boys event Sherman Dewey was 119th (19:18), Hayden Haseburger was 122 (19:21), Andrew Tuttle (19:27) was 126th, Jaelin Rainey was 137th (19:33), Josh Glorvigen was 150th (19:44) and Colin Gwinn was 157th (19:51).
