Wonderful show: Just came from Newnan High's production of “Les Miserables,” and what a great show! From the singing and acting, to the lighting and set construction, thanks to the cast, crew and faculty for bringing us Broadway quality performances right here in Newnan. Thanks also to The Times-Herald for the news story. How fortunate are we to have these opportunities.

Changing color: I wonder what would have happen if the Clippers’ owner had been black and made the same derogatory remarks about white people how it would have been played out by national media. My guess is nothing, but he still should have not said that.

What about Reid?: It's funny how Michelle Nunn's TV ads never mention that if she is elected she will vote to keep the Senate controlled by the single most obstructionist politician in Washington, the one man responsible for the Senate not even considering a budget for four years straight.

Bar taxes: A man has been barred because of what he said from ever seeing, attending, owning or having anything to do with basketball. He must sell his team. Why can't I say something about the IRS and not have anything to do with IRS? They may bar me from paying any more taxes - great.

Let it alone: Focus on the Family is a wonderful organization. How dare you want to have them removed from this paper just because they don’t want homosexuality and sex introduced to our kindergartners in public schools. Our young children should be focused on reading, writing and arithmetic, not sex. My Gosh, nowadays it seems like everything revolves around sex. Shame on you.

One party: I thought there were four political groups – the Republicans, the Democrats, the Independents and the Libertarians. Nope, I was wrong just one – the Dumacrats running the show.

Missing the 1%: Public education is 99% mandated and requires 1% creative intelligence. Whoops! We are missing the 1% intelligence.

Thanks, G’ville: Thank God for the Grantville City Council! If we didn't have them we wouldn't need a newspaper. Watching their antics is more fun than an "Our Gang" movie, and makes just about as much sense.

Huh?: Ukraine – how weak is your country if you have an "acting president?”

Passing math part 2: I hate to admit it, but I came up a bit short of a 4.0 average in math at my university. I did, however, learn some basic math in elementary school. I was able to determine that 23% of $20,000 = $4,600 and 23% of $200,000 = $46,000. Hardly seems fair.

Get ‘em out: Three Republican activists in Cherokee County convicted of lying and sentenced. Thousands more to go. After that, Fox News should be next.
