Lady Vikings stay unbeaten in region play

The Northgate Lady Vikings softball team managed just six hits Thursday night, but it they made them count en route to a 4-2 victory over Starr’s Mill on the road to stay unbeaten in Region 4-AAAAA play.

Jenna Pealor led the way for Northgate with two RBIs, including a solo home run in the fifth to help spark the victory.

Carly Alderman finished the game with two hits and lead-off hitter Brenna Skalsksi and Emily Heath each had a hit.

McKenzie Peace had eight strikeouts en route to the win for the Lady Vikings.

Northgate improved its record to 8-2 and 4-0 in Region 4-AAAAA action.

Starr’s Mill dropped to 5-2 and 2-1.

Northgate gets back into action Monday at East Coweta.
