Middle and lower school gets victory on gridiron

The Heritage School Hawks picked up football victories Thursday against Community Christian, with the lower school getting a 26-12 win, and the middle school getting a 14-8 victory.

In middle school action, quarterback Henry Arnall started and scored both touchdowns.

Heritage took an 8-0 lead in the contest at the break. Arnall's second touchdown came on a 3-yard run to put the team up 14-0. Community Christian scored its only touchdown with 4:19 left to play, but Heritage's Hunt Thomas recovered an onside kick attempt to seal the win.

Thomas and Hays Burns each had quarterback sacks to stop Community Christian's last drive.

Thomas' sack caused a Community Christian fumble with 4:19 left to play.

In the lower school game, Raymond Feckoury made his debut count for the Hawks scoring three touchdowns en route to the win. Feckoury's day included runs of 60, 45 yards, plus a 70-yard kickoff.

The Hawks also got a 2-point conversion from Branch Burns. Grant Evans also picked up yardage from his fullback spot and Jacob Rochester played tough on defense.
