Anderson falls short in effort to move into 200-meter finals

Northgate senior Kemor Anderson was unable to advance in the 200-meter semifinals of this year's AAU Junior Olympic track and field meet in Detroit.

Anderson finished 18th in 25.17, but still has a chance to bring home a medal in this week's 400-meter relay. She will run as a member of the Southside Pioneers with Newnan's Ronae Ferguson.

The 400-relay preliminaries are this afternoon.

Meanwhile, members of the Quintessentials track and field team return to competition today. Teammates Donte Robinson, Aaron Fenimore and Samuel Quinn will each compete in the 8-under javelin.
