Landmark Christian senior Lindy Long sets record in 3,200

ALBANY — Landmark Christian senior and Coweta County resident Lindy Long set a new Class A state record in the 3,200 meters on Thursday with a winning time of 10:50.34.

Long, who has committed to the Air Force Academy, held off First Presbyterian standout Grace Tinkey by just over a second while setting a new state mark.

The meet continues today with field events and running qualifiers for county schools East Coweta and Northgate.
