Northgate rolls past Buford

The Northgate Vikings rolled to a 17-0 victory over first-year program Buford.

Jeff Sargent starting the scoring for the Vikings with a goal at the 11:07 mark of the first period to start the scoring.

Sargent finished the night with three goals to help pace the Vikings.

Jason Pealor and Jake Smerka, Christian Carter and David Leberacki also added two goals.

The Vikings also picked up contributions from Mitchell Hutson, Nathan Johnson, and Cole Carter, C.J. Goodman and Christian Campbell.

Northgate also picked up assits from Pealor, Cameron Wilson, Casey McClendon, and Nathan Johnson.

The Vikings play their last game of the regular season today at Lovett.

• COLUMBUS 11, NEWNAN 7 (girls):

The Newnan girls lacrosse team dropped an 11-7 victory over Columbus.

Newnan fell behind 4-1 at the end of the first hakf

The Lady Cougars spotte Columbus a 3-0 lead before getting on the board on Savanah Ohliger added its first goal of the game.

Sable Hawkins kept Newnan in the game in the second half with four goals.

Ohliger also finished with a hat trick, scoring two goals in the second half.

Hawkins, and Ohliger also added assists for the Lady Cougars.

Gaby Busby, Hawkins, and Megan Diebboll each had three ground balls to pace the Lady Cougars.

Lindsay Stewart played the whole game in net and finished with 10 saves.
