The Vikings snapped a two-game slide in Region 4-AAAAA by taking batting practice against Forest Park in a 21-0 road victory in Clayton County that lasted four innings, highlighted by James Poropatic’s 3-for-3, 4-RBI effort that included a home run to leadoff the game.
He capped off the first inning with a two-run single before adding an RBI double in the third.
Pitchers Jonathan Fleckenstein and Chad Green each allowed just one hit and finished with three strikeouts apiece in the win, which improved Northgate’s record to 9-4 in 4-AAAAA and 12-6 overall.
