Northgate splits pair of matches on senior night

The Northgate High School volleyball team split its games on senior night, beating Locust Grove (25-17, 25-11), and falling to ELCA (25-23, 25-20) .

Seniors Randee Harvel, Erin Valentine and Michaella Crooks were honored before the matches.

'Our seniors played their hearts out, ' Northgate head coach Matt Trucks said. 'I am really proud of them,' Northgate dropped to 16-15 overall.

The Lady Vikings opened the week ranked fourth in Class AAAAA.

Northgate now heads into Saturday's playdate at Sandy Creek where the team will also play Newnan and Landmark Christian among three matches.
