Katia Roberts signs with West Ga. Tech

Katia Roberts recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball at West Georgia Technical College. Newnan senior Katia Roberts will continue her basketball career at West Georgia Tech in Carrollton.
Roberts, a three-year letter winner for the Lady Cougars, finished her senior year averaging 8.1 points per game and 6.3 assists for head coach LaVarrett Pearson while also being named to The Newnan Times-Herald All-County team this season.
She could possibly play point guard, shooting guard or small forward for West Georgia Tech coach Kenny Edwards.
”I am excited about signing Katia. I believe she will come in and work hard on and off the court. She is very athletic, with a tremendous upside,” Edwards said.
