* China Kitchen, 90-H Glenda Trace, Newnan, was inspected Oct. 31. Current score, 87, B. Previous score, 71, C. Inspector's comments: Do not store raw meats over vegetables or other ready-to-eat foods (in the walk-in -- chicken over celery, fish over vegetables; and in the reach-in -- shell eggs over sauce without cover). Store cloths in sanitizer between uses. Do not store raw meats in grocery bags. Replace reach-in freezer lid.

* CAFI HeadStart, 171 Magnolia Street, Haralson, was inspected Oct. 31. Current score, 100, A. Previous score, 98, A. Inspector's comments: Looks great!

* Uncle C's BBQ Cafe, 173 Hwy. 85, Haralson, was inspected Oct. 31. Current score, 95, A. Previous score, 90, A. Inspector's comments: Label all foods out of original container with the common name. Seal or paint any raw wood. Clean and paint any rusted shelves. Clean under and around equipment. Clean inside deep freezer. Patch and paint walls as needed. Seal any cracks. Shield light in kitchen.

* Maguire's Irish Pub, 42 Main Street, Senoia, was inspected Nov. 6. Current score, 91, A. Previous score, 87, B. Inspector's comments: make all hand wash sinks accessible (move bread cart). Servers need to wear proper hair restraints. Store cloths in sanitizer between uses. Post most recent inspection within 15 feet of front door in plain view. Air-dry dishes prior to stacking. use scoops with handles -- no bowls.

* Senoia Coffee Company, 1 Main Street, Senoia, was inspected Nov. 6. Current score, 99, A. Previous score 98, A. Inspector's comments: Clean any dust accumulated in rafters. Paint or seal wood in back area at sink. Looks good!

* E-KA Japanese Steakhouse, 224-G Bullsboro Drive, Newnan, was inspected Nov. 6. Current score, 91, A. Previous score, 90, A. Inspector's comments: Unlabeled chemical spray bottle. Chemicals stored on rack with food. Paint stored on shelf with food in storage room. Sanitizer at dishwasher. Raw meat stored above sauces inside walk-in cooler. Chicken stored above scallops. Scoop handle stored in products. using bowl to dispense rice. Eliminate gap at back door. Need higher threshold. Stained ceiling tiles. Need lid on waste receptacles in ladies room. Few food containers not labeled.

* International House of Pancakes, 630 Hwy. 34 East, Newnan, was inspected Nov. 5. Current score, 96, A. Previous score, 93, A. Inspector's comments: Employee wearing bracelet on arm -- food service employees should not wear jewelry on hands and arms except on smooth ring such as wedding ring. Need lid for waste receptacle in ladies room.

* China Garden, 176 Bullsboro Drive, Newnan, was inspected Nov. 3. Current score, 95, A. Previous score, 94, A. Inspector's comments: Bowl stored in corn starch - need handled scoop to dispense. Buildup on racks, shelves, non-food contact surfaces, rusty shelves, walk-in cooler floor. Dented can on shelf -- discarded. Freezer unit iced up.

* Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 342 Newnan Crossing Bypass East, Newnan, was inspected Nov. 3. Current score, 97, A. Previous score, 97, A. Inspector's comments: Food service employee wearing watch, no hair restraint -- food service employees should not wear hand or arm jewelry except one smooth ring such as wedding band. Few food items uncovered inside walk-in freezer. Small amount of pink mold on lower corner of deflector shield of ice machine.
