• Best Western, 620 Hwy. 34 East, was inspected April 4. Current score, 99-A. Previous scores, 97-A on July 28, 99-A on Jan. 20, 2011. Inspector’s comments: water damage in cabinet under three compartment sink.

• Hampton Inn, 50 Hampton Way, was inspected April 3. Current score, 90-A. Previous scores, 96-A on June 10, 96-A on Jan. 13, 2010. Inspector’s comments: no soap or paper towels at handwash sink - corrected. Need thermometers in coolers and freezers. Leak at drain pipe. Peeling laminate in lower cabinets.

• Hardee’s, 231 Temple Avenue, was inspected April 10. Current score, 89-A. Previous scores, 86-B on Aug. 10, 94-A on Feb. 23, 2011. Inspector’s comments: trash around dumpster. Split gasket on cooler door, sesame seeds on gaskets. Tortilla shells stored in open container with another container of tortilla shells directly on shells. Leak at handwash sink drain. Missing floor drain cover, buildup in floor drains, buildup on grout of floor tiles, missing floor tiles in mop room. Mold on deflector shield of ice machine. Buildup under pans in hot well, buildup on lower shelf of steam well unit. Jacket stored on boxes of single service items.

• Cracker Barrel, 527 Bullsboro Drive, was inspected April 4. Current score, 96-A. Previous scores, 96-A on July 11, 90-A on Jan. 6, 2011. Inspector’s comments: dried particles on slicer, dicer - corrected.

• Captain D’s, 1369 Bullsboro Drive, was inspected April 9. Current score, 96-A. Previous scores, 99-A on July 6, 99-A on Jan. 13, 2011. Inspector’s comments: deflector shield on ice machine has mold/ mildew.

• Arnco Sargent Elementary, 2449 Hwy. 16 West, was inspected April 11. Current score, 100-A. Previous scores 99-A on Dec. 6, 100-A on May 18, 2011. Inspector’s comments: looks wonderful.

• Jameson Inn, 40 Lakeside Way, was inspected April 6. Current score, 97-A. Previous scores, 96-A on June 30, 99-A on July 9, 2010. Inspector’s comments: open bag of cereal stored on rack.

• Jefferson Parkway Elementary, 154 Farmer Industrial Boulevard, was inspected April 9. Current score, 100-A. Previous scores, 100-A on Dec. 15, 99-A on May 3, 2011. Inspector’s comments: looks great.

• La Perla del Sur, 7285 Hwy. 16, Senoia, was inspected April 5. Current score, 97-A, new business. Inspector’s comments: open bags of food on shelf, bags rolled down - corrected by moving to sealed bags.

• La Quinta Inn, 600 Bullsboro Drive, was inspected April 4. Current score, 99-A. Previous scores, 97-A on July 29, 98-A on Jan. 29, 2011. Inspector’s comments: dried batter on cabinet doors, food particles in upper cabinets, stained floor under three compartment sink.

• Firehouse Subs, 226 Newnan Crossing Bypass, was inspected April 2. Current score, 93-A, new business. Inspector’s comments: dried food particles in wedger. Italian meat 48.3 degrees stacked high in container after prep wrapped in paper, covered with plastic wrap and covered with lid - allow meat to cool without stacking too high.

• Benton House, 25 Newnan Lakes Blvd., was inspected April 10. Current score, 97-A. Previous scores, 95-A, on Aug. 16, 95-A on Feb. 7, 2010. Inspector’s comments: ice machine deflector shield had some mold on it.

• China Express, 50 Bullsboro Drive, suite 4414, was inspected April 10. Current score, 80-A. Previous scores, 95-A on July 26, 58-U on July 13. Inspector’s comments: pan stored on cooked pan of chicken, buckets of sauce stored on floor, noodle box open, noodles not in bag or container. Food uncovered on prep tables inside walk in cooler. Cooked chicken stored next to raw chicken. Containers used as scoops. Tall cooler not able to stay at 41 degrees; lift top cooler needs to be colder to adjust for summer temperatures.

• Comfort Inn, 590 Bullsboro Drive, was inspected April 6. Current score, 96-A. Previous scores, 100-A on Aug. 16, 95-A on Jan. 19, 2011. Inspector’s comments: need thermometers inside cooler and freezer. Small cooler not cooling properly, fan iced up. Need light bulb inside refrigerator.
