Gillespie's final sermon at Ebenezer set for Nov. 23

Dr. Richard T. Gillespie will deliver his final sermon as pastor of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Hogansville on Nov. 23.

Gillespie has been called to be the minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Florence, Ala. He will assume his duties at the Alabama church on Dec. 1.

Gillespie came to Ebenezer Presbyterian on Oct. 1, 2003.

He will be conducting his last two services as Ebenezer's minister on this Sunday and then on Nov. 23. Both services will start at 11 a.m.

A community luncheon will follow the worship service on Nov. 23. Many area residents are expected to attend the final service and dinner to say "goodbye" to "Dr. G" and his wife, Belva, before they move to Florence.
