Blackmon to lead seminar at Newnan Church of Christ

Becky Blackmon will be leading the Newnan Church of Christ Ladies Day program on Nov. 6. To reserve a spot, call 770-253-3864 or visit www.newnancoc.org. Session will focus on helping women find God's joy for every storm in life and helping women to deal with tests and troubles -- growing and changing as they find joy. Blackmon has been called warm, witty and wise. She is a popular speaker at women's events and at college lectureships across the country. Blackmon also is author of "The Begging Place," a book about prayer for Christian women. She said her greatest desire is to please God and to do His will, and her prayer is that God will use her to help any woman who might need her.
The daughter of Russ and Lea Fowler, Blackmon graduated from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor of arts degree in education. The speaker has been married to Jeff Blackmon for 38 years. They live in Woodway, Texas, and have two grown children and four grandchildren.
