Lots of VBS events in Coweta this week

Children have been having lots of fun at Vacation Bible School programs in Coweta County, and other churches are making plans for VBS.

Churches planning to hold VBS this coming week include:

• Royal Baptist Church, Sunday-Friday, 6-8:30 p.m. Colossal Coaster World.

• Line Creek Baptist Church, Sunday-Friday, 6-9 p.m. Age 4-sixth grade. Colossal Coaster.

• Oaklawn Baptist Church, Monday-Wednesday, 6-8:30 p.m. Colossal Coaster.

• Hopewell United Methodist Church, Tyrone, Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-noon. Family Night Cookout, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. Registration, 770-306-7537 or hopeumc1@bellsouth.net. SonSurf Beach Bash.

• Rehoboth Baptist Church, Luthersville, Monday-Friday, 6-8:30 p.m. Colossal Coaster.

Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Lone Oak announced plans for its Vacation Bible School. The one-day VBS will be held as part of Peace Box Sunday, a Fantastic Fifth Sunday, on June 30.

The church will recognize Peace Box artists from Bette Hickman’s art class at the Coweta County Recreation Department and from the American Union Relief Society’s Summer Focus program on June 30 at the 11 a.m. service. A hotdog lunch will follow, and VBS will be held following lunch.
