Shiloh celebrates 113th anniversary

Shiloh Baptist Church in Alvaton recently celebrated its 113th Church Anniversary.

The church, previously known as Mt. Moriah, held its celebration on the afternoon of June 9. E.L. Jimmerson, pastor of Zion Hill Baptist Church near Luthersville, brought the message.

Dinner was served after the service. The theme for the event was: “Growing in grace and the knowledge of the Lord...”

Felicia Gordon recounted some of the church’s history.

The public is invited to join us in our celebration. “Some years ago we held worship service under a ‘bush arbor,’” she said. “Now we have a beautiful and comfortable place to hold worship service.”
