More churches announce VBS plans

Area churches continue to announce plans for Vacation Bible School.

School ended for Coweta County students on May 23, and several churches are holding VBS this coming week. Smith Chapel United Methodist Church will be holding Bible School from Monday-Friday of next week.

Louise Moore said VBS at Smith Chapel will be from 9 a.m.-noon. “All children, youth and adults are invited to attend,” she said. “A light lunch will be provided.”

Some churches are holding an alternative to VBS. Kidz Blitz Live and FX Live will be held at South Metro Ministries from Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. “It is a family event, and everyone is invited,” church member Laurita Olmstead said.

Kidz Blitz Live is an “uplifting, high-energy, faith-based program for parents and kids,” said Tonya Graham, the church’s office assistant.

“With fast-paced action and Super Bowl excitement, Kidz Blitz Live is for the elementary age kids while engaging people of all ages. With a message woven into the action, kids learn while playing,” Graham said.
