Grief group to start at St. George

St. George Catholic Church is sponsoring a weekly meeting for grief support.

Whether someone is experiencing a recent loss, difficulty living with a loss or simply needs help in their time of grief, the first meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. and will be held at Henderson Hall.

Sessions are open to anyone. The goal is for participants to support one another, but there will be no pressure for individuals to share personal experiences.

On Thursday, the group will view a video, 'Beyond Death's Door.' Brinda Martin, a professional counselor, will facilitate the discussion.

The grief group will meet the fourth Thursday of each month. For information, call 770-683-3221.
