Cornerstone United Methodist Church will again hold its Drive- Thru Navity this year. Biblical scenes will be recreated from Dec. 5-8, 6-10 p.m.

Cornerstone United Methodist Church will present its Drive-Thru Nativity, “The Greatest Gift,” starting Thursday.

The second annual presentation by the church will be held from Dec. 5-8 from 6-10 p.m. Dana DeGennaro, who handles communications for the church, said the program uses a cast and crew of 100-plus each night.

The cast and crew “will present the Christmas story in 10 live scenes,” she said.

At the entrance of the drive-thru guests will receive a CD — available in English or Spanish — that will be their narrator as they drive through the Nativity. The scenes include the foretelling of the coming Messiah, the angel Gabriel’s visit to Mary, Caesar’s palace and the decree for the census, Mary and Joseph being turned away at the Inn, the Wise men on the way to Bethlehem and the traditional Nativity scene, among others.

Coffee and hot chocolate will be served. “We cannot wait to share this with the community,” said Paul Griffin, project chairman and Cornerstone UMC member.
