Dinner, concert set at Macedonia

Dinner, concert set at Macedonia Macedonia Baptist Church will be holding a Dinner and Concert evening on July 20. The community is invited to enjoy a light dinner, which will be served in the fellowship hall at 6 p.m. The concert will follow at 7 p.m. in Macedonia's historic sanctuary. The dinner is complimentary and the concert will feature the gospel music of The Winslett Family.
Ivan Winslett has been serving as a choir director for more than 28 years. Currently, he serves at Bright Star United Methodist Church in Douglasville. He has also served at Central Baptist and at Providence Baptist near Palmetto. He and his wife, Rosalind, have three married children who are all musicians. Jacob Winslett is music director at Fayette Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. He is married to the former Laurie Hunnicutt, who also sings, and they have a son, Braden. Jake Winslett plays the guitar and writes music. Michael Winslett is a drummer and keyboardist who plays occasionally at Life Gate Church in Villa Rica and Bremen. He is married to the former Melia Logan, who plays the guitar and sings. Michael works in technology at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, and he and his wife also have a photography business. Jennifer Winslett Mozley is a worship leader at Rivertown Church in Columbus. She also teaches middle school. She is married to Dustin Mozley, who works in technology in the Columbus area. Jennifer plays the guitar, keyboard and piano and also writes music. The concert will include original songs written by Jake and Jennifer, along with several gospel standards. A love offering will be received.
