FPYO to hold first concert at Flat Creek

The Fayette Philharmonic Youth Orchestra will present its first full orchestra concert on April 26.

The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church near Fayetteville. The free concert will include music from “Les Miserable” as well as Dvorak’s New World Symphony and Jupiter from the Planets.

The FPYO, under the direction of Cindy Wilson, has been in existence for three years. The orchestra has grown considerably and includes members from almost every middle and high school in Fayette County.
