Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church is celebrating 150 years of service to God and the Coweta County community and honoring their pastor for his completion of his first year of service at the historic church.
Jerome Spence, pastor of the church, and his family will be honored Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Vernon. Dr. John Williams, pastor of Antioch East Baptist Church in Atlanta, will be preaching.
“We look forward to coming together as one Christian family, on one accord, to spread God’s Word,” said Donna Freeland of Mt. Vernon.
