A few churches still to hold Vacation Bible School

With the start of school just around the corner, most churches holding Vacation Bible School this summer are already done with their time of catchy songs, cool crafts, Bible stories and snacks.
A few churches still have VBS programs planned, including several one-day events. Still on the calendar are:
• today, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Emory Chapel United Methodist Church, Dresden. Rocky Point Lighthouse.
• Sunday-Thursday, 6-9 p.m. New Hope Baptist Church, 3989 Corinth Rd. Amazing Wonders.
• Wednesday, 5-8:30 p.m. John Wesley United Methodist Church, Lone Oak. All ages. No Friend Like Jesus.
• Aug. 4, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, Lone Oak. Cookout/commencement to follow.
