Senoia’s churches make a difference in their hometown.
Senoia City Council members Bobby Graham and Jeff Fisher talked about the impact churches are having at a recent council meeting.
Graham said he would like to see more support from throughout the community. The support of the churches is “much, much appreciated,” Graham said.
Fisher specifically addressed the activities of Legacy Christian Church which is building a church in the east Coweta city.
Fisher spoke of an “event for the youth” sponsored by Legacy.
An effort was made “to reach out to a bunch of youth sitting at home,” Fisher said. He said a total of 90 youth “from a multitude of communities” participated.
“This was a wonderful event that was put on,” Fisher said. “This is the true nature of what our city is.”
Fisher also thanked the residents of Heritage Pointe subdivision for their involvement with the youth program. Fisher and Graham spoke at the close of the June 18 meeting at Senoia Magistrate Court.
