Razors buzzed and clippers snipped to help a local youth travel to India on a mission trip.
Tristan McGee of Newnan will be leaving soon for a two-week youth mission trip to India. McGee was required to raise a significant amount of money.
“Cuts for a Cause” was an idea conceived by McGee’s aunt, Joy McGee of Peachtree City. Mrs. McGee, a hair stylist, offered free hair cuts for men and boys in the fellowship hall of Christ the King Church near Sharpsburg. While the haircuts were free, donations were encouraged.
Christ the King Church also received offerings for the mission trip and the needed funds were secured.
McGee is scheduled to leave for India on Monday. He is the son of Sean and Andi McGee and the grandson of Deacon Tony and Jeanie McGee, all of Newnan.
