Abby Peacock spoke at East Newnan Baptist Church at the Sunday night service on March 18.
“She spoke from the heart,” said June Harris, who attended the service. Peacock and shared memories of the last two years — having just returned from two years missionary service in Mali, Africa.
Slides showed her and the people group with whom she lived with and whom she befriended. The presentation “brought to light the importance of our churches and organizations that back the missionaries here at home and in foreign countries,” Harris said. “God allowed her to share the Good News with people who do not even have a written language.”
During her time in Mali, Peacock and others worked to translate “the major stories of the Bible so that the people of Mali could hear the Word and know who Jesus is,” Harris noted.
Peacock also brought a display of items from her time in the African nation.
