Wreck victim, 9, lives on: Young Abby Bacho’s heart, kidneys, liver and corneas donated

When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true:

“Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

“Where, O death, is your victory?

Where, O death, is your sting?”

On Christmas Day, Abby Bacho was wheeled into the operating room at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

Afterward, the family was told the surgery was a success.

Three days later, the family held a funeral service for Abby at St. Mary Magdaline Catholic Church in Sharpsburg, where Abby had received her first communion two years earlier.
