The Ride for Hannah, to benefit cancer patient Hannah Currence, will be Saturday, Aug. 9 beginning at S&M Auto Repair at 37 LaGrange St. in Newnan.
Hannah, age 5, has been diagnosed with stage 3 rhabdomyosarcoma cancer. Proceeds from the ride will be donated to her family for expenses related to the illness.
Following the ride, there will be Southern and Bluegrass Gospel music at the Greenville Street Park. Groups performing will include the English Family, who have performed with the Perrys, the New Spirits from Newnan, and others. There will be no admission for the music session, but donations for Hannah will be accepted.
The cost is $25 per driver, $10 per passenger. Lunch will be provided and there will be a prize drawing. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the ride starts at 11 a.m.
