Remember Revolutionary soldiers

On the Fourth of July, Americans throughout our nation celebrate Independence Day by having barbecues, attending parades and seeing fireworks shows. For many, this in an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. As you celebrate Independence Day, take a moment to remember the men who served in the military during the American Revolution, because without their service and sacrifice, the United States of America might have never existed.

Before the American Revolution began, the soldiers who enlisted in the Continental Army understood that Great Britain was the superpower of the world with strong military capabilities. The men who served struggled at the beginning of the war, but they persevered through proper military training and as a result, they were able to defeat the most powerful military in the world. Out of the thousands of men who served and died during the war, these men were willing to put their lives on the line so that future Americans not yet born could one day live in a nation of democracy and freedom.

As you celebrate the festivities of the Fourth of July, take time to remember the men who served in the military during the American Revolution.
