The Heritage School basketball team ended its season in the first-round of the GISA tournament with a 56-53 loss to Calvary Christian.
Heritage School, though, didn't go down without a fight.
Leading 26-23 at the end of the first half and 43-42 heading into the final quarter, the Hawks could not hold its one-point lead over the final eight minutes as Calvary Christian outscored Heritage School 14-10 in the last quarter.
Freshman Spencer Perry led the offensive attack for the Hawks finishing with 14 points. Two of Perry's baskets game from beyond 3-point territory. A.J. Gainwell added 10 points for the Hawks. He also connected on two shots from 3-point territory.
Problems at the free throw line hurt the Hawks' chances to advance to the second round. Heritage School shot just 45 percent from the line, connecting on just 9 of 20 free throws.
Garrett Jones closed out his high school career with 13 rebounds.
