The Patriots and Carson Rogers were able to turn a defensive struggle into a 26-6 championship victory on Monday over the Falcons during Monday's Super Bowl game to conclude the Coweta County Recreation Department's 2009 youth tackle football season.
In the end, the Patriots coached by Ricky Snellgrove and assistants Paul Meyer, Chip Brown and Troy Winslett, were able to wear down the Dolphins as Rogers led four Patriots players who contributed points.
Maurice Johnson also added a touchdown in the championship game and Nate Gick and Jason Meyer ran in extra points for the Patriots, who won the South Division this season.
The Dolphins' touchdown came from Jacob Bryant.
The title game, which pitted a pair of 4-0 teams that earned top seeds respective North and South divisions, was the latter half of a Monday doubleheader at the Hospital Road complex.
In Monday's opening game between division runner-ups, the Falcons pulled out a 26-20 win over the Chargers, the North No. 2 seed.
Kadarius Satterwhite scored three times for the Falcons and added an extra point. Dillion Cates also had a touchdown in the victory, while T.J. Johnson also ran in an extra point.
Both Kaceon Smith and Aaron Singleton had a touchdown and an extra point for the Chargers, while Woody Waters scored on a long pass play.
