Mrs. Norma Hall York

Mrs. Norma Hall York, age 85, of Moreland, Ga., passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Newnan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in 1923 in Carroll County, GA to the late James Arthur Hall and Emmie Shirey Hall. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie York, sister, Irene McGrady and brothers, Willard & Hershel Hall.

She lived most of her life in Coweta County and retired from the William L Bonnell Company after many years of service.

She is survived by her children: Alvin York and his wife Sandra Turley of Senoia; Patricia York Rosser and her husband, Tony of Moreland and Gwen York Anderson and her husband, Lorne of Newnan. Grandchildren: Russell York, Sherry York, Henry York, Justin Anderson & Cody Anderson. Great grandchildren: Kaylee & Lexi Anderson. Also surviving are her sisters: Earlene Jackson, Hazel Baker, Ruby Bridges, & Margret Bell; and sister-in-law, Barbara York of Radcliff, KY and many nieces, nephews, friends and her extended family (employees at the nursing home).

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Russell, Henry, Justin & Cody; nephews, Doyle Baker, Joe Jackson, Tommy Bell and Dennis Bell.

Funeral service will be Sunday, June 6, at 2 p.m., McKoon Funeral Home, with her nephew Rev. Joe Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, GA.
