Mrs. Marilyn "Teda" Mothe Ward

Mrs. Marilyn "Teda" Mothe Ward passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008. She was 73 years young. Beloved wife of Robert Lawton Ward. Mother of Robin Ward Callegan (Phil), Jan Ward Dukes (Jim), Sharon Ward Shirley (Mike), Robert Lawton Ward II (Kim) and Stephen Michael Ward (Teresa). Sister of Boyd L. Mothe Sr., Gwynn M. Birchfield and Corbett R. Mothe. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emile J. Mothe Jr. and Pearl Thibodaux Mothe, and her brother, Emile J. Mothe III.

A native of Algiers, Louisiana, and a resident of Newnan, Georgia, for the past 21 years, Mrs. Ward graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1953. Relatives and friends of the family attended the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. A funeral mass followed at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 400 Verret Street in Algiers. Interment took place at Westlawn Memorial Park. A memorial mass will be held on August 9 at the St. George Catholic Church in Newnan at 11 a.m.
