Mrs. Sarah Louise Threadgill

Mrs. Sarah Louise Threadgill, 87, of Fayetteville, Ga., died Feb. 4, 2010. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Threadgill was an active member of Fayette Presbyterian Church and a founder of the "Memorial Garden" of Fayette Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lt. Commander (Ret.) Carl G. Threadgill, Fayetteville; son, Dr. J.M. "Mike" (Barbara) Threadgill Sr., Newnan; daughter, N. Dianne (John) Pinson, Griffin; grandchildren, James M. (Julie) Threadgill Jr., Rabbit Hash, KY, Christine (Trevor) Pircsuk, Palmetto, Deborah (Kyle) Pearson, Rock Hill, SC, Elizabeth Anne Holliday, Palmetto, Audrey Dianne Holliday, Haralson, and S/Sgt. John Barclay (Angela) Holliday, Lakeland, GA; and seven great-grandchildren.

The body will lie in state 10:30 a.m. until the funeral service, which will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Fayette Presbyterian Church with Rev. Cliff Haddox officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m.
