Mr. Frank Bezenah
For 80 years, time was an important part of the life of Frank Bezenah. As a master clock maker and repairman, he appreciated the value of time and its importance to those who trusted their treasured time pieces to his care.
On Sept. 26, 2008, Frank passed from this life into the realm that knows no time limits. He was fortunate that this great leap could be made from the comfort of his home and in the company of his beloved family. Frank was born Francis Earl Bezenah on Jan. 15, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of the late Louis Earl and Winifred Cornelia Brown Bezenah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Betty Howard. He was a parishioner of St. George Catholic Church. Frank had the distinction of serving three years in each of the Army and Navy during The Korean Conflict. Although a child of Michigan, Frank embraced his southern lifestyle. A man of varied interests, he found great joy in his collections of clocks, southern pottery, pocket knives and antiques. Frank is survived by his wife, Jane Bezenah of Newnan; his sister, Veronica Breen; his three daughters, Suzanne, Rose and Frances; and his four treasured grandchildren Philip, Ryan, Matthew and Gabriel. A memorial service in honor of Frank will be on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. at Something Special, 83 Greenville Street in Newnan (770-251-1206 or www.sspecial.net). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in his memory be made to The William F. Jones Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 765, Newnan, GA 30264 and on the web at willjonesmemorial.org. This is a fund established to assist local children's charities. Online condolences may be expressed on the McKoon Funeral Home Web site at www.mckoon.com.
