Mr. Charles A. Abercrombie

Mr. Charles A. Abercrombie, 71, of Newnan, Ga., passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010. He was born in Barbour County, Ala., to the late William & Cleona Abercrombie.

He was the owner of Abercrombie's Nursery from 1977-2008 and was in the business for over 50 years.

He is survived by Carolyn Abercrombie, Doug Abercrombie, Donny Abercrombie, Blake, Seth, Taylor Ann, Kale, Bryson, and Tori Abercrombie, all of Newnan. Also surviving are Amy Wilks of Smith, AL, James Abercrombie of Douglasville, Mary Ann Mulkey of Hoschton, GA, Carolyn Kirkland of Gainesville, GA, and Wayne Abercrombie of Newnan.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 30 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, GA, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan, GA.
