A Jonesboro man is wanted for charges of aggravated assault and fleeing and eluding police after escaping from police in a vehicle pursuit on June 27.

Elijah Garrett Faulk, 28, of 1633 Mount Zion Place in Jonesboro, was seen running from a residence under construction at approximately 3:15 a.m. Coweta 911 dispatch advised the Newnan Police Department of the suspicious subject. A few minutes later, a vehicle stop was conducted on Jackson Street across from the Coweta County Health Department.

As officers approached his vehicle, Faulk was seen moving quickly toward the center console with both hands. Officers ordered Faulk to raise both hands and not to move.
