It may be legal, but is it right?

A letter writer commented on statutes that protect minors and adults. The writer was right: Sadly, abortion, or the murder of babies, is legal in our country but the murder of a man in church is not.

The problem is: Does saying abortion is legal make it right? Does forcing parents to make a child have chemotherapy when there are other alternatives that work better make it right?

The person who was shot in church was the abortion doctor. Yes, he had a right to worship without being murdered, just like the Army recruiter had a right to stand in front of his office without being murdered. Just like all the people from 9/11 had a right to go to work safely and not be murdered.

It just seems from the letter the writer was upset more about a baby-murdering doctor being killed than the babies he admitted to killing.

The writer said his favorite Sunday teacher taught him to love all brethren. One can't be mistreated in love. Love is neither conservative nor liberal. I guess for some that only applies to abortion doctors in church, because that is the only one they seem to care about.

I, too, am often saddened by the ignorance and arrogance sometimes revealed in the newspaper. It also never fails to astound me. It is scary that people think it's OK to kill babies, but if it will help you overcome your grief, we will say the man in church wasn't murdered. He was aborted.

I am a proud American conservative who loves God, country and, yes, the right to worship freely without being aborted in church.
