Deaths

Edward Burl Jackson, 90, an Ohio native who retired to Newnan, Ga., died in his home Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010. He will be buried in a private ceremony at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. Arrangements handled by McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, Ga.

Bernice M. Whitley, 75, of Moreland, Ga., died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery in Moreland. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 2, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
