SHARPSBURG --Jyles Smith had a 21-point effort that including several key dunks in the second half on Tuesday to help lead the Creekside Seminoles to an 84-71 victory over the East Coweta Indians as part of a key Region 4-AAAAA doubleheader at the John Thrower Gymnasium.

"We seemed to be a step slower in every facet of the game than Creekside was," said Indians head coach Ronnie Vandiver. "There were some defensive stops we couldn't take advantage of on offense and also we would tip a ball away and they would come away with it."

Earlier in the evening, the Lady Indians got 16 points from Tryesa McKenzie and strong defense throughout the lineup for a dominating 54-39 victory.

The Lady Indians improved to 6-15 overall and a 5-10 record that is good enough for eighth in the region while the Lady Seminoles fell to 1-20, 0-15 on the season.
