Coldwell office Toys for Tots dropoff

For the 28th year, Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty organization's offices are serving as drop-off points for the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve "Toys for Tots" campaign.

The Coldwell Banker Bullard offices and its affiliate company, Coldwell Banker American Land Mart, will begin accepting contributions the week after Thanksgiving. The final pickup of contributions from these offices will take place on Dec. 22.

Linda Mitchell, managing broker of the Bullard's Newnan/Coweta County office, is coordinating the project for the company.

The real estate organization's offices are serving only as collection points and will not distribute toys, as this is done through local churches, local Department of Family and Children Services offices and the Marines.

Area residents wanting to contribute can drop off a new, unwrapped toy at a Coldwell Banker Bullard office or at one of the other collection points and the Marines will take care of the rest, distributing the toys to needy children through local charitable organizations. For those preferring to contribute money to the campaign, a check made out to "Marine Toys for Tots Foundation" will be accepted. Cash donations will help the Marines buy toys at deeply discounted prices, and donations are 100 percent tax deductible.

The Coweta Coldwell Banker Bullard office is at 1605 East Hwy. 34, Newnan.
