Health fair will offer free 'hands only' CPR training

Free “hands only” CPR training will be offered as part of a health fair March 2 in Newnan.

American Medical Response, the ambulance firm that provides contracted ambulance service in Coweta County, is helping with the fair and providing the new CPR training that will be part of the free Heart Focused Health Fair March 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Royal Baptist Church, 70 Mayo Royal Industrial Blvd., off Temple Avenue.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death nationally and locally, with an estimated 630,000 deaths per year in the United States.

Local Emergency Medical Service agencies, hospital, health and wellness agencies and many other service providers are joining to offer free CPR training for adults as well as family fun activities at the March 2 health fair.
