Former Newnan High grad Connally promoted at Disney

Newnan native H. Glen Connally has recently been named vice president, of Facility Services and Support for The Walt Disney Company.

A graduate of Newnan High School, Connally is the son of Sandy Rizzo of Newnan. He earned bachelor’s degrees from both Georgia Institute of Technology (electrical engineering) and Furman University (physics).

Based in Burbank, Calif., Connally’s new position was announced in December. He and his team will oversee seven million square feet of owned and leased space in more than 130 facilities including office buildings, warehouses, production shops, garages, broadcast facilities, studios and sound stages of Disney.

Most recently, Connally served as director of Disneyland Park Engineering Services and Transportation Center as part of the Disneyland Resort Facilities and Operations Services team. He first joined Disney in January 2000, having served as the manager of Engineering Services and program manager for Facilities Asset Management. In 2007, he was promoted to Director, Facility Maintenance and Central Shops for Disneyland Resort.
