From STAFF REPORTS
Faye Holzaepfel is the Newnan-Coweta Art Association’s (NCAA) Artist of the Month for the month of January. Holzaepfel’s works will be on exhibit throughout the month at Newnan’s City Hall.
A native Georgian, Holzaepfel moved to the southside of Atlanta early. She lived in Peachtree City for 18 years before moving to Newnan seven years ago.
Working for Delta made it possible for Holzaepfel to travel the world. She took up photography as her love of travel grew. While she had no formal training, she was blessed with a good eye, and is always looking for that perfect picture.
Holzaepfel is an aspiring painter now that she is the president of the NCAA. Her city hall display features photos of her recent trip to Asia.
Holzaepfel is married and has a married son that lives in Sharpsburg. She retired from Delta Air Lines in 2000, and then contracted with Delta for the next 12 years.
Newnan-Coweta Art Association meets the third Thursday of each month (from September through May) at the Harriet Alexander Art Center on Hospital Road at 7 p.m. Visitors and new members are welcome. An art demonstration is presented each month.
