Students in Carol Toole’s painting class at Newnan High School have given a whole new meaning to “food art.”
The young artists created cupcake-themed paintings for shop owner and baker Vickie Houston, who owns and operates a bakery on Perry Street in Newnan.
Students painted and donated their paintings to “Ms. Vickie,” who visited and sent samples of her delicious creations for the students as inspiration and brought more for their reward.
“My customers are really enjoying the variety of paintings on display and some have asked to buy them, but they are not for sale,” said Houston.
The works will be on display in the bakery indefinitely.
