Joshua Hicks picked up his first victory since moving up to the 12-year-old Outlaw class at Atlanta Motor Speedway during the second week of competition in this year's Winter Flurry Series.
A week after finishing fourth due to a damaged car, Hicks was the beneficiary of a three-car pile-up on Saturday after racing up front with Ashton Winger as well as Jensen and Taylor Jorgensen with two laps left to go. On a restart as the three cars got into the mix, Hicks took the high line to make a 3-wide pass on the outside through Turn 1 and 2 to take the lead and hold on.
Newnan driver Alton Clark placed fourth overall.
An 11-year-old from Senoia, Hicks moved up from the Bandolero Bandits division where he won multiple points titles between the Winter Flurry and Thursday Thunder summer series at AMS.
