Sharing food with others

From Staff Reports

In response to The Newnan Times-Herald article last month about Bridging the Gap, Rainey Ayers organized a food drive to stock the shelves there. Ayers is a member of the Coweta 4-H Horse & Pony Club.

Bridging The Gap is a non-profit organization in Newnan that distributes food to those in need. It is not just a food ministry for the hungry. The organization helps to find out the reason people are in need and tries to come up with solutions to help them.

With the help of the Horse and Pony Club and the Glanton Elementary Fifth Grade 4-H Club, Rainey was able to collect and deliver 12 full boxes of food last week.

Bridging the Gap would appreciate any donations that the public is willing to give. Please call the office at 678-650-4571 or visit its website at www.btgcommunity.org .
