Peachtree City Police Department is launching its “Light Up the Night” toy drive after Thanksgiving.
The third annual drive will begin Nov. 26, with a special drop-off in the parking lot of the Peachtree City Walmart. Future special drop-off dates are Nov. 27-28, Dec. 4-6 and Dec. 10-12.
Donations will be accepted from 5 to 9 p.m.
Volunteers from the police department and the Peachtree City Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be located in the parking lot of Walmart with police vehicles. Members of the department will be collecting unwrapped, new toys, and cash donations for families in need in the community.
Additional drop-offs will be available at various locations throughout the city in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Citizens may also make donations at the Peachtree City Police Department headquarters, 350 South Highway 74, Monday through Friday, 8 to 4 p.m.
